Creating and running ventures

The venture lifecycle, financial records, operations and settlement.

Lifecycle

Draft → ready to open → open → closed → completed. The readiness checklist must pass before a venture can open, so members never see an incomplete opportunity. References are generated by the database and are permanent.

Running a venture

  • Record revenue, expenses and business activities as they happen.
  • Upload documents and choose whether participants can see them.
  • Prepare, approve and close the settlement, then record each partner settlement.
  • Financial records are immutable once confirmed; corrections are made with reversing entries.
